# Tavla

> Tavla is a backgammon app made in Norway for players anywhere. You play the Computer, and Coach explains the mistakes that matter in plain language. This is a different Tavla from Entur's departure board.

You play the Computer in the app. A strong engine scores every play. Coach only puts those numbers into words. Tavla has no online play against other players. Friends and the tournament list are for meeting over a real board. The tournament list is for in-person events, and it starts with Norway.

Tavla keeps your account (an email, a Player Name, an optional real name, a scrambled password and your settings), your games and your chats with Coach, your friends list, and any reports or notes you send. The games are there so Coach can see whether the same mistakes get rarer. It does not show ads and it does not sell your games. Another player can find you only by your exact Player Name or exact email.
